Provides a wide variety of reception, support, and administrative assistance to residents, visitors, guests, and other employee-partners. Administrative support should be in accordance with policies and procedures, current federal, state and facility standards, guidelines and regulations governing our company.

- Upholds the Cantata Promise by treating all individuals with respect, integrity, and compassion.
- Assists the Life Enrichment Director with daily operations, encourages participation in wellness programs, and ensures building security.
- Handles reception duties, greets visitors, and directs them as needed. Communicates with residents and visitors, maintaining respect and fairness.
- Observes and reports changes in residents' conditions, completes administrative tasks, and handles data entry as instructed by the Nurse Manager or Campus Director.
- Schedules appointments, contacts residents or responsible parties, and works with Life Enrichment to manage activity calendars.
- Assists with transporting residents, photocopies/faxes documents, and ensures files are up-to-date and accessible.
- Monitors clerical supplies, delivers messages promptly, and distributes mail.
- Maintains a positive atmosphere in the department, adapts to changing situations, and follows work assignments.
- Attends required training and adheres to Cantata’s policies and procedures.
The hours we are looking for are as followed there is some room for flexibility , every Thursday and Friday - 9-6:30 and every Saturday and Sunday -10-5:30
- High School graduate or equivalent.
- Prior office/receptionist experience helpful.
- Represents Cantata to visitors, vendors, employees, and others in a professional manner and appearance.
- Must be knowledgeable of computer systems, preferably Microsoft Office, Outlook Calendar, and other office equipment.
- Must possess a professional appearance and attitude.
- Ability to work independently with little or no supervision.
- Ability to communicate effectively both verbally and in written form with a diverse group of people.
- Ability and willingness to work harmoniously within a team environment.
- Must possess the ability to deal tactfully with personnel, residents/patients, family members, visitors, government agencies/personnel and the general public.
- Must be able to read, write, speak, and understand the English language.
- Aptitude for detail work.
- Must be able to relate to and work with ill, disabled, elderly, emotionally upset, and at times hostile people within the facility
Contact with Others
Extensive contact with residents/clients on a daily basis. Daily contact with all levels of personnel within the company. Extensive contact with resident’s/client’s family members and community contacts.
Physical Requirements/Working Conditions
- Must meet general health requirements as set forth by this company.
- Intermittent physical activity including bending, reaching and prolonged periods of sitting.
- Works in office areas.
- Sitting in front of a computer monitor
- Is subject to frequent interruptions, and has the ability to multi-task.
- Walking and climbing stairs; and use of elevator, as required to deliver messages and secure exit doors.
Exposure Classification
- Job duties are classified as Category II (no routine contact with blood, body fluids or tissues).
- No exposure to chemicals which are identified for use in the nursing department.
