The Waterworks is currently seeking a Plumbing/Excavation Estimator. This position evaluates both commercial and residential customer requests for plumbing/excavation installation, repair and/or renovation and provides an on-site estimate to perform the work requested.

Daily functions of a Plumbing/Excavation Estimator:
- Assess labor, material and duration of time to complete plumbing jobs. Provide customers with an on-site contractual bid in accordance with established procedures and targeted gross profit margins. Estimates must be accurate and ensure profitability.
- Develop and maintain a positive relationship with residential and commercial clientele, which is conducive to bid acceptance.
- Maintain a high accepted bid average.
- Coordinate accepted bids with job site supervisor when job is scheduled.
- Follow-up with customers upon completion of jobs. Review customer satisfaction form with manager.
- Collaborate with Purchasing to secure materials at lowest price point possible.

Qualifications and skills to be successful as a Plumbing/Excavation Estimator for The Waterworks:
- Prior plumbing estimating experience preferred.
- Significant hands-on field experience in commercial and residential plumbing repair, remodel and renovation.
- Strong communication and customer service skills which project confidence, knowledge and credibility.
- Sufficient computer skills or demonstrate the capacity and willingness to quickly learn specific estimating programs.
Employees must be able to pass pre-employment screening including a background, motor vehicle check and drug screening. Maintaining eligibility to operate company vehicles is a fundamental job requirement. All employees that operate company vehicles must maintain their driving record as insurable under the company’s vehicle insurance provider
