The Senior Assistant Director of Residential is responsible for all aspects of overseeing the programs and services provided to the consumers. The responsibilities and duties that encompass this position fall into the following areas: Safety, Health, Fiscal Management, Regulatory Compliance, Rights Protections and Incident Management, Staff Resources/Supervision, Residential Habilitation, and Staff Development.
Job Responsibilities:
- Safety & Compliance: Ensure fire drills, emergency procedures, and safety checks are completed. Maintain clean, well-kept homes and vehicles. Conduct regular house inspections and oversee on-call management.
- Financial Oversight: Monitor budgets, review purchase requests, and ensure proper handling of personal allowances. Work with the benefits specialist to maintain eligibility for SSI/Medicaid.
- Health & Well-being: Oversee meal planning, medical appointments, and medication administration. Ensure staff are trained in CPR, First Aid, and specialized care procedures.
- Regulatory Compliance: Stay informed on applicable regulations, ensure audit completion, and address compliance issues.
- Rights & Incident Management: Protect individual rights, ensure proper reporting of incidents, and implement corrective actions as needed.
- Staff Supervision & Development: Manage staffing schedules, approve overtime, ensure proper training, and oversee performance evaluations. Participate in hiring, onboarding, and dispute resolution.
- Residential Habilitation & Quality Assurance: Ensure individualized care plans are effective and aligned with service goals. Conduct site visits and address concerns raised by residents or families.
- Training & Leadership Development: Create and deliver leadership training for Assistant Directors and residential staff. Provide mentorship and support for continuous professional growth.
- Bachelor's Degree in Human Services and minimum 3 years of management/supervisory experience
OR
- High School Diploma/GED and at least 5 years of supervisory experience in an OPWDD certified residence or day program
