Job Title: Female Biblical Counselor
Reports To: School Administrator
Employment Type: Full-Time
Schedule: Monday–Friday, School Hours

About The Position:
- The Female Biblical Counselor at Schaumburg Christian School plays a vital role in providing biblically sound, Christ-centered counsel to female students. This position requires wisdom, patience, and a shepherding heart to guide students through academic, social, emotional, and spiritual challenges. The counselor will work closely with students, parents, faculty, and ministry leadership to foster a culture of discipleship and biblical problem-solving in the school.
Roles & Responsibilities:
- Biblical Counseling & Discipleship – Provide one-on-one and small-group biblical counseling to female students, applying Scripture to real-life struggles and encouraging Christlike growth.
- Spiritual Shepherding – Serve as a mentor and spiritual guide, modeling godly character and helping young women navigate biblical womanhood.
- Collaboration with Parents & Faculty – Partner with teachers, parents, and ministry leadership to provide consistent, biblical support for students.
- Discipleship Programs – Assist in leading Bible studies, student mentoring programs, and spiritual formation activities.
- Crisis Support – Offer biblical guidance during difficult situations, ensuring students receive truth-centered care in times of need.
- Administrative Responsibilities – Maintain accurate counseling records, assist with student discipleship initiatives, and contribute to school culture by integrating a biblical worldview in all interactions.
Requirements
Spiritual & Leadership Qualifications
- Committed Christian who aligns with Schaumburg Christian School’s mission and Bethel Baptist Church’s doctrinal beliefs.
- Biblically Sound & Discerning – Able to counsel students with grace, truth, and scriptural wisdom.
- Servant-Hearted & Relational – Demonstrates patience, integrity, and a desire to invest in young women’s spiritual growth.
Education & Certification
- ACBC Certification (or actively pursuing certification).
- Master’s degree in Biblical Counseling (preferred).
- Experience in biblical counseling, discipleship, or student ministry within a Christian school, church, or ministry setting.
Skills & Abilities
- Engaging & Approachable – Able to connect with students and build trust while maintaining biblical authority.
- Strong Communicator – Comfortable working with students, parents, and faculty to provide clear, biblical guidance.
- Calm & Wise in Conflict – Equipped to handle sensitive issues with discernment, grace, and biblical fidelity.
