EUC Engineer
Description

We are seeking a highly skilled EUC Engineer to provide advanced technical support and drive the development, implementation, and optimization of our EUC environment. This role is responsible for resolving complex technical issues, managing EUC platforms, and collaborating with cross-functional teams to improve end-user experiences. The ideal candidate will have deep expertise in Windows, Linux, Virtualization, MDM, GPOs, Microsoft Graph, Imaging process, collaboration tools, and automation technologies.

Responsibilities

Technical Support & Incident Management

  • Serve as the highest escalation point for all EUC-related issues, troubleshooting complex hardware, software, and OS-level problems
  • Perform root cause analysis and implement long-term solutions to recurring issues
  • Support enterprise applications, including Microsoft 365, collaboration tools, and endpoint security solutions
  • Work closely with Service Desk and Level 2 teams to improve incident resolution times and user experience

EUC Infrastructure & Device Management 

  • Manage and maintain desktop/laptop environments, including Windows, Linux, and mobile platforms
  • Administer and optimize endpoint management tools such as Microsoft Endpoint Manager (Intune)
  • Oversee patch management, software deployments, and OS imaging processes
  • Implement and manage virtualization technologies such as AVD (Azure Virtual Desktop)

Automation & Scripting

  • Develop and maintain automation scripts using PowerShell, Bash, or Python to streamline EUC operations
  • Automate software deployment, configuration management, and compliance enforcement
  • Integrate EUC tools with ITSM platforms like FreshService for automated workflows

Security & Compliance

  • Ensure compliance with IT security policies, including endpoint protection, encryption, and access controls
  • Manage endpoint security solutions such as Defender for Endpoint
  • Enforce Zero Trust principles and security best practices in EUC environments.

Project & Continuous Improvement  

  • Lead EUC-related projects, including technology rollouts, migrations, and EUC upgrades
  • Research and recommend emerging technologies to enhance the EUC environment
  • Document technical solutions, processes, and best practices for knowledge sharing
     

Required Qualifications & Experience

  • 5+ years of experience in an EUC, IT Support, or Desktop Engineering role, with at least 2 years in a Level 3 or senior capacity
  • Deep knowledge of Windows 10/11, and MDM solutions
  • Hands-on experience with Microsoft Intune
    Strong scripting skills in PowerShell, Bash, or Python
  • Experience with ITIL frameworks and ITSM tools (e.g., FreshService)
  • Familiarity with security frameworks and compliance standards (ISO 27001, NIST, etc.)
  • Excellent troubleshooting skills and a customer-focused mindset
  • Excellent white glove customer service skills  

Preferred Qualifications & Certifications

  • Microsoft Certified: Endpoint Administrator Associate (MD-102)
  • Microsoft 365 Certified: Modern Desktop Administrator

Location

Fervo Energy is headquartered in Houston, TX with satellite offices in the Bay Area, CA, Golden, CO and Reno, NV. This position will be eligible for some hybrid work flexibility, but regular in-office presence at the Houston office will be required. Some travel is required for this position.
