We are adding a CNC Machinist to our Peculiar facility to operate CNC machining equipment to manufacture parts as designed. You will be responsible for setting up and operating CNC vertical machining centers as well as CNC lathes to perform a variety of machining operations simultaneously. We are seeking a qualified and motivated CNC machinist who is willing to multitask and cross-train on all machines, as required. 

Essential Job Functions

• Must demonstrate the ability to operate CNC lathes and mills.

• Candidate must be computer literate with knowledge of applications related to machining.

• Recognizes improper machine functioning and recognizes defects in machinery, measuring instruments, or equipment.

• Inspect and measure parts to maintain blueprint specifications.

• Perform side operations as required (e.g., deburring) while CNC is running.

• Operate multiple CNC machines simultaneously.

• Know machine setup and G & M codes.

• Maintain a clean work area and machine.

• Other duties as assigned.

• Must be a self-starter, have good communication skills, and work with minimal supervision.
• Must have at least 5 years’ experience.
• Must know how to operate CNC lathes, mills, and how to read drawings and spec sheets.
• Must understand Trigonometry as applied to angles and machining.
• Must have own tools.
• Must know how to read micrometers, calipers, dial indicators, and how to use a surface plate for accurate measurement.
• Strong mechanical aptitude.
• Ability to work harmoniously with others and able to work under pressure
• High School diploma or equivalent
• Trade school or other specialized training preferred.
