Manufacturing Equipment Operator
Description

Polytek® Development Corp. is a leading manufacturer of mold making and casting materials. Polytek® is currently looking for a highly motivated, experienced, and extremely organized individual to join our rapidly expanding company.

Essential Job Functions:

Major tasks and other key responsibilities include:

  • Proficient understanding of preparing work to be accomplished by following assembly instructions, parts lists; gathering parts, tools, and materials.
  • Verifies labels and packaging requirements.
  • Resolves any issues with assembly or packaging instructions working with team members and supervisor.
  • Maintains safe and clean working environment by complying with procedures, rules, and regulations.
  • Crosstrained on multiple pieces of equipment.
  • Perform operation of assigned botteling equipment.
  • Basic set-up and start-up of line equipment.
  • Perform basic preventative maintenance and troubleshooting of assigned botteling equipment.
  • Compile and update process data, specifications, and repair and test procedures.
  • Use real time database to monitor/input data and track performance of equipment and production avtivities to requirements of assigned equipment.
  • Conserves resources by using equipment and supplies as needed to accomplish job results.
  • Contributes to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed.
  • Assist with labeling, packaging and boxing goods preparing them for shipping.
  • Understand hazards of products through company provided training and reading Safety Data Sheets and labels.
  • Wear proper personal protective equipment (e.g., gloves and safety glasses) and follow all provided safety rules.
  • Report safety concerns immediately to your supervisor.
  • Follow all rules set forth in Polytek’s Employee Policy Manual.
  • All other duties as assigned.

Physical Demands:

The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.

  • Must be able to stand for prolonged periods of time and perform repetitive tasks.
  • Must be able to lift and/or move items up to 50 pounds.  
  • Must be able to bend, squat, walk, stand, use hands to finger, handle or feel, reach with hands and arms, and repeatedly ascend/descend short flights of stairs/ladders for a full shift.
  • Must be able to talk, hear and see with vision abilities including close/near, distance, color and peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus. 
  • Must wear job-specific Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) for entirety of shift. 

Education and Experience:

  • Must be able to understand, speak, write and read English. 
  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • One year manufacturing experience preferred; on the job training to be provided.
  • Reasonable analytical skills.
  • Proficient with simple math, problem solving and troubleshooting skills.
  • In-Depth knowledge of and experience on the line that they will be operating.
  • Forklift experience preferred.
  • Ability to effectively manage time and follow directions.
  • Willingness and ability to train an Assembler II.
  • Basic computer experience.
