Candidates should be within commuting distance of either office and will need to be available for in-person collaboration on Tuesdays, Wednesdays, and Thursdays.


Overview of the Role

MKG is looking for an Account Manager to drive growth by managing existing client relationships and leading/supporting new business efforts. This role is ideal for someone who thrives in a fast-paced, creative environment, has a strong network, a strategic mindset, and a passion for bringing people together.


As a key contributor to both client retention and agency growth, the Account Manager will ensure the seamless execution of programs while proactively identifying and pursuing what’s next. They’ll serve as a primary client contact, support strategic account planning, and play a central role in pitch efforts to win new business.


Reporting to the Account Director, the Account Manager will collaborate closely with internal teams—including creative, strategy, production, and finance—to craft and present compelling proposals that drive client success and fuel agency expansion.


WHAT YOU WILL DO IN THIS ROLE:

Client Management & Relationship Building

  • Serve as the primary point of contact for key client accounts, ensuring seamless communication and strategic guidance.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, proactively identifying opportunities for future collaboration.
  • Provide best-in-class client servicing by understanding client needs, objectives, and industry trends.
  • Guide clients through project execution, ensuring clear alignment on scope, deliverables, and expectations.

Project & Account Management 

  • Lead day-to-day management of client projects from inception through execution.
  • Reinforce roles, timelines, and responsibilities internally and with clients to ensure seamless execution.
  • Partner with internal teams (creative, production, finance) to ensure the successful delivery of experiential activations.
  • Proactively identify and resolve challenges to keep projects on track and within budget.
  • Provide strategic recommendations to clients to maximize the impact of their experiential marketing efforts.

Pitch & Proposal Development 

  • Assist in assessing and prioritizing new business opportunities.
  • Craft compelling, insights-driven creative briefs that guide strategic development.
  • Lead project set-up — including internal briefings, staffing alignment, and kick-off calls — to ensure smooth transitions from pitch to execution.
  • Help to develop and build tools, resources, reports and research for department admin requirements and pitch needs. 
  • Lead multiple proposal efforts simultaneously, ensuring all internal and external deadlines are met.
  • Collaborate with the creative strategy team to develop innovative solutions tailored to client needs.
  • Serve as the main client contact throughout the proposal process, aligning on objectives, updates, and expectations.
  • Manage cross-functional internal resources (finance, production, creative) to build comprehensive proposals.
  • Attend new business presentations and pitches, effectively representing MKG’s capabilities.

Sales & Business Growth

  • Act as an ambassador for the agency, leveraging industry connections to drive business growth.
  • Partner with the Sales team to participate in outbound efforts and identify new opportunities for the agency.
  • Collaborate on researching market conditions and trends to uncover opportunities for client growth and agency expansion.
  • Support the Sales team in maintaining and managing a database of existing and prospective clients.

Sales Materials & Agency Marketing

  • Work closely with the Marketing Associate to develop custom capabilities decks tailored to prospective and existing clients.
  • Collaborate with the creative team and Marketing Associate to develop case studies that showcase new, marketable work.
  • Support the Marketing Associate in maintaining consistent and effective agency marketing materials needed for pitches and organic client growth. Examples include case studies, news letters, trend reports, etc. 
Requirements

 WHAT YOU WILL BRING TO THIS ROLE: 

  • Minimum 4+ years of relevant experience, with a strong grasp of brand marketing and sponsorships.
  • Proven background in experiential marketing and new business development, including responding to RFPs.
  • Strong client management, writing, and presentation skills, with the ability to build lasting relationships.
  • Deep understanding of experiential production, budgeting, and financial assessments.
  • Ability to analyze complex information and determine the best strategic approach.
  • Results-driven, proactive, and optimistic, with a strong work ethic and ability to navigate challenges.
  • Passionate about ideas, brands, and creating meaningful experiences for clients.
  • Adept at multitasking and thriving under pressure, managing multiple projects seamlessly.
  • Must have an awesome sense of humor, a collaborative spirit, and a love of dogs!

Salary Description

 $80,000 - $100,000 annually

***This is the minimum + maximum base salary that we, in good faith, are willing to pay at the time of the posting. Salary commensurate with experience
