Medicaid and HUD Housing Biller

Summary/Objective:

The Medicaid and HUD Housing Biller is responsible for accurately preparing, submitting, and reconciling billing statements and claims for Medicaid HCBS services for assisted living (EBD waiver) and housing subsidies under HUD guidelines. This role ensures compliance with federal, state, and local regulations while maintaining accurate financial records and timely reimbursement.

Essential Functions:

Medicaid Billing:

· Prepare and submit Medicaid claims for eligible services provided to residents weekly.

· Monitor Medicaid billing regulations and updates to ensure ongoing compliance

· Track and resolve rejected or denied claims, coordinating with Administrators and case managers as needed. 

· Reconcile payments received from Medicaid and post them to appropriate accounts. 

· Maintain accurate and up to date billing records for audits and reporting. 

PACE Billing: 

· Prepare and submit PACE claims for eligible services provided to residents

· Monitor billing regulations

· Track and resolve rejected or denied claims

· Reconcile payments received from InstaMed and post them to appropriate accounts

· Maintain accurate and up to date billing record for audits and reporting in Yardi. 

HUD Housing Billing:

· Complete HUD vouchers and submit via Yardi and TRACS

· Communicate with property management teams and Compliance Manager regarding rent changes, tenant certifications, and interim adjustments. 

· Work with tenants and case managers to resolve discrepancies or billing concerns.

· Other duties as assigned

Work Environment:

· Sitting for long periods, standing and walking intermittently

· Using office equipment such as computer, mouse, keyboard, printer 

· Indoor office environment, temperature controlled.

Education and Experience:

· High school diploma or equivalent required; associate or bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, or related field preferred. 

· Two plus years of experience in Medicaid billing/HUD billing or a related area.

· Knowledge of Medicaid programs and HUD housing regulations

· Proficiency with billing software, Microsoft Excel, HER and housing management software (Yardi experience is a plus)

· Strong attention to detail and excellent organization skills

· Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines

· Excellent written and verbal communication skills. 

· Experience with TRACS preferred

Expected Hours of Work:

This role is considered full-time and works 40 hours per week.
