Position Summary
Perform the necessary duties at the assigned Ink workstation on the daily production line schedule. Safely performs position specific responsibilities to ensure a high level of productivity, quality and internal and external customer service while adhering to all relevant company policies and procedures. Identifies and recommends process improvements to streamline and increase efficiency of existing programs.
Primary Roles and Responsibilities
- Work from written and verbal instructions and communicate effectively with all co-workers.
- Ability to read, understand, and follow production schedule.
- Fill bottles as required; keep sufficient supply of bottles on the line.
- Plug bottles with dauber, apply correct cap, sleeve or label.
- Assist with keeping dauber and capper bins full; keep adequate supply of plastic rolls in shrink wrap; assist with making boxes for products and keeping trash and empty boxes neat until disposed of.
- Oversee machine while in operation; stop and correct minor problems as needed; stop and inform mechanic and supervisor of major problems; clean up spills and dirty bottles.
- Exercise proper care in the use of tools, equipment and materials.
- Ability to troubleshoot and detect faulty equipment, defective material, improper operations and unusual conditions to supervision.
- Exercise proper care in the use of tools, equipment and materials.
- Responsible for completing a daily report of production results.
- Observe all prescribed safety rules and regulations and maintain work area in a neat and orderly condition.
- Perform other duties as assigned or directed.
Education:
- High school diploma / GED equivalent
Physical Requirement:
- Must be able to lift 45 lbs. frequently
Other Skills / Abilities:
- Good math skills are required
- Basic computer entry skills
- Must be flexible. Willing to work on different production lines throughout the course of a day.
- Must be able to follow both verbal and written instructions and be receptive to schedule changes and shifts in priorities.
- Must be able to work overtime when needed
- Must be a team player
- Minimum of three months experience running production equipment.
