Position: Logistics Manager

Position Reports to the Director of Vendor Operations

Job Location: Remote

Job Type: Full-Time

Pay Rate: $70,000 - $90,000 Yearly


The Logistics Manager is responsible for all of our shipping and freight processes, scheduling and optimizing linkages across a complex environment with hundreds of distribution points. You will need to optimize our carrier strategy across hundreds of global suppliers, ensuring a best-in-class service to our customers promoting lowest cost, fastest speed and high reliability. You will scope and define the third-party logistics relationships needed and manage those relationships.

Oversees relationships with external logistics parties by supervising the points of contact for external partners; communicating expectations and agreements to team; approving relevant findings and information to be communicated to external stakeholders; leading freight audit processes to ensure external partners comply with company standards and agreements. 

The candidate will take ownership of all shipping and logistics processes, and scale strategy and process to promote and reach company growth objectives. Reports to the Director of Vendor Operations, and works collaboratively with Business Operations, Finance, Purchasing, Warehouse and Customer Service teams.


Responsibilities

  • Logistics Supplier Performance Define metrics for supplier performance (on-time-delivery, quality, etc.), monitor performance against these metrics and enforce conformance.
  • Logistics– Demonstrated understanding of logistics planning and optimization and the ability to lead an organization in lowering transportation costs and improving customer service leveraging internal operations teams and third-party contractors
Requirements
  • Bachelor’s degree 
  • 8-10 years’ experience in logistics, distribution, transportation, eCommerce/retail fulfillment operations
  • Experience in managing complex logistics across shipping types and geographies
  • Familiarity with regional and global carriers, including parcel, freight and white glove carriers
