We are seeking a Loan Processor to join our team! The Loan Processor is essential in supporting our lending team and is critical to our success and outstanding reputation for service. This position assists our Loan Officers with the processing of the approved loans, providing clerical and administrative support needed to process and close member loans. They will obtain, prepare, and organize documents for loan files to meet product guidelines and underwriter stipulations.

- Works closely with Loan Officers and members in support of documenting loans for underwriting and closing.
- Processes approved loans and sets up dates and times to close the loan and make disbursements.
- Opens member accounts and has member sign appropriate documents.
- Files loan documents with the appropriate agencies.
- Identifies and takes action to improve the group's operating methods and procedures.
- Provide professional, courteous, and prompt service to all members and team members through phone and email communications
- Work with prospective borrowers to establish membership with Climb Credit Union when required
- Produce and send initial loan disclosures within required time frames
- Work with members and vendors to order, gather, index, and review required loan documentation
- Prepare loan files for underwriting by interpreting product guidelines and ensuring all requirements are met
- Work with branches and outside title companies to prepare and provide loan closing documentation
- Develop, maintain, and demonstrate a working knowledge of credit union loan standards, policies, procedures, and applicable state and federal government rules and regulations.
Qualifications
- One to three years of similar experience. A demonstrated knowledge of the functions in the department.
- A high school diploma or GED.
- Strong communication skills, both oral and written.
This is a full-time, non-exempt position with a starting hourly pay of $23.00, depending on experience, education and qualifications.
