Position Overview:
We are seeking an accomplished and motivated Sales Representative ready to make a difference. This role is focused on building and nurturing strategic partnerships that align with our mission. These partnerships are essential as they directly contribute to funding our ocean cleanup efforts by selling plastic credits to corporations and other stakeholders committed to sustainability. This is not just a sales role—it's an opportunity to influence environmental change and earn a competitive income.
This position offers a base salary plus sales commission, with the potential to earn a six-figure income. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for driving revenue growth and environmental impact by forming strategic partnerships that support our mission.
Key Responsibilities:
- Drive Sales and Impact: Leverage your sales expertise to identify and capitalize on opportunities to grow the number and size of our business partnership focusing on our major program offerings: Plastic Neutral Certification, Pull a Pound, Certified Clean Up partner directly contributing to our financial success and our mission to clean the oceans.
- Develop Strategic Long Term Relationships: Establish and maintain strong, long-lasting relationships with key stakeholders, ensuring alignment with 4ocean’s mission and goals.
- Grow and manage a significant portfolio of business partnerships to ensure financial goals are met and the organization has a long term stable cash flow.
- Lead Generation and Client Engagement: Actively establish and secure business relationships, meetings and close deals in the shortest amount of time. Act as the primary point of contact for your accounts, providing exceptional service and ensuring client satisfaction while identifying opportunities for growth.
- Collaborate Across Teams: Work closely with internal departments, including Sales, Marketing, and Product Development, to ensure seamless execution of strategies and client alignment.
- Strategize for Success: Develop comprehensive account plans that include setting and meeting sales targets, forecasting volumes, and driving account growth.
- Negotiate Effectively: Manage contract negotiations with a focus on achieving mutually beneficial outcomes that advance both 4ocean’s mission and the client’s objectives and shortening the sales and deal flow timeline.
- Stay Informed: Keep up-to-date with industry trends, market conditions, and competitor activities to identify new opportunities and mitigate potential challenges. Become an expert within your lines of business, ESG and sustainability
- Educational Background: Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Sales, Marketing, or a related field. Masters degree or MBA preferred.
- Proven Track Record: Demonstrated success in key account management, sales, or business development roles, with a history of meeting or exceeding sales targets.
- Exceptional Communication: Strong negotiation, interpersonal, and communication skills, with the ability to build trust and rapport with clients.
- Strategic Mindset: Ability to think strategically and develop actionable plans that drive growth and achieve objectives.
- Self-Motivated: Results-oriented and highly motivated, with a strong ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Technical Proficiency: Proficient in CRM software and Microsoft Office Suite.
