Logistics Supervisor
Description

Omni-Serv partners with the passenger airlines industry and carrier services to perform various aviation roles. Omni-Serv is in search of a Full-Time Logistics Supervisor available for full-time work with a flexible schedule at Newark Liberty International Airport. We are looking for a candidate who can maintain a professional demeanor, are team players, and have a positive and “can do” attitude.


Scope of Work:

The successful candidate will oversee and support operational activities of a provisions shipping operation, manage staffing needs, handle administrative tasks, and foster a culture of accountability, integrity, and professionalism within the organization.


Job Responsibilities:

  • Oversee daily schedules, employee shifts, time-off requests, and the usage of overtime effectively
  • Proactively prepare for contingencies such as employee absences or manpower shortage
  • Collaborate closely with managers to address any operational issues and or concerns
  • Ensure adherence to operational protocols and procedures
  • Conduct daily rounds to ensure contractual operational needs are satisfied
  • Lead, inspire and foster a culture of accountability, excellence, and collaboration
  • Assist in creating a structured framework for addressing conflicts and a safe space for open communication and problem-solving
Requirements

  

  • Minimum 2 years of supervisory or managerial experience in the related field a plus
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities
  • Ability to multitask and prioritize in a demanding environment
  • Knowledgeable in software such as Microsoft Office Suite
  • Flexibility: capable of working various shifts based on operational needs
  • Experience operating a 26-foot box truck (a cargo truck with a box that is twenty-six (26) feet long)
  • Must have a valid US driver's License with at least 3 years of experience- approvals and final decision is subjected to our automobile insurance carrier's criteria
  • Pre-employment drug screening required per Department of Transportation
  • Successful completion of a DOT (Department of Transportation) Physical Exam


Physical Requirements:

  • The ability to work inclement weather
  • Be able to stand and walk for prolong periods 
  • The ability to lift up to fifty (50) pounds unassisted


Compensation: $28.25 per hour, medical, vision, dental, life insurance, 401k


Shift: Monday - Wednesday 2:00pm - 10:30pm, Saturday & Sunday 6:00am - 2:30pm, Thursday and Friday off
