Rhode Island Children’s Dentistry & Orthodontics is looking for an enthusiastic Orthodontic Assistant to join our team in East Greenwich & Coventry. Duties include:

• Help to maintain patient flow pattern by seating patients promptly and begin procedures
• Place separators, elastic chains, and wires.
• Prepare teeth for bonding of braces and Invisalign attachments
• Scales cement and checks patient for loose brackets or bonds Monitor oral hygiene of patients, instructs on correct brushing
• Deliver all instruments to sterilization to be sterilized

• High school diploma or equivalent required; completion of an accredited orthodontic assisting program preferred. 
• Minimum of 1-2 years of experience as an orthodontic assistant or dental assistant, with a focus on orthodontic procedures preferred. 
• Knowledge of orthodontic procedures, appliances, and terminology. 
• Strong manual dexterity and attention to detail. 
• Excellent communication skills with the ability to interact with patients, families, and the orthodontic team. 
• Ability to maintain patient confidentiality and adhere to HIPAA regulations.
