Job Summary:
The Food Truck Manager of Sal’s Mobile Division will oversee the operations and strategic management of our food truck fleet. This includes coordinating logistics, managing schedules, and ensuring food trucks are placed at optimal events and locations. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in food truck management, event placement, and operational efficiency, with a passion for delivering exceptional food experiences to diverse audiences.
Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee the daily operations of the food trucks, ensuring compliance with safety, sanitation, and local regulations.
- Ensure food trucks are maintained, licensed, and operating efficiently by working with maintenance teams and vendors.
- Develop and manage budgets related to food truck operations, including costs for maintenance, staffing, and supplies.
- Collaborate with the marketing team to create promotional strategies that enhance visibility and drive sales.
- Maintain high levels of customer satisfaction by monitoring service quality and responding to feedback.
- Schedule labor as required by anticipated business activity while ensuring that all positions are staffed appropriately, and labor cost objectives are met.
- Ensure all food trucks adhere to local health, safety, and zoning regulations.
- Ensure all food and products are consistently prepared and served according to the restaurant’s recipes, portioning, cooking and serving standards.
- Monitor/Coordinate delivery schedules with our Commissary.
- Ability to work a flexible schedule that will shift as operation needs shift(includes working nights, weekends and holidays). As the manager, you are required to work 55 hours a week or as many hours as it takes to get the job done and done well.
Requirements
- Proven experience in food truck management, event placement, and operations.
- Strong knowledge of local food truck regulations and compliance requirements.
- Excellent organizational, leadership, and communication skills.
- Ability to multitask and manage multiple food truck operations simultaneously.
- Experience with budgeting, forecasting, and financial oversight.
- Strong problem-solving skills and ability to adapt to changing environments.
- Food preparation experience.
- Experience/comfortable operating large vehicles.
- Valid driver’s license and ability to travel locally.
- DOT physical card
- Experience with food truck licensing, permitting, and health code compliance.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
- Willingness to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed.
- Must be able to stand for extended periods and lift up to 50 lbs.
