Job Overview:


The Floor Technician keeps buildings in clean and orderly condition. The Floor Technician performs heavy cleaning duties, such as cleaning floors, carpet extraction, stripping and waxing floors, and scrub & recoat on floors. Other duties will include performing routine maintenance on floor equipment, notifying management of need for repairs, assisting maintenance department with grounds keeping, and other duties as needed. The Floor Technician will also provide quality customer service to our patients and staff.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Sweep, vacuum, shampoo, mop, wax, strip, and polish floors.
  • Clean baseboards, kick-plates, and floor equipment.
  • Mix chemicals and cleaning solutions to scrub & strip floors, wash windows, walls, ceilings, and doors.
  • Clean desks and countertops as needed.
  • Pick up papers and other debris, and empty and clean waste receptacles as needed.
  • Clean and scrub restroom flooring.
  • Move and arrange furniture and equipment.
  • Lock and unlock doors; turn lights and machines on and off; set alarms.
  • Operate light duty equipment and machinery, and clean and care for it.
  • Will work outside as needed to clear sidewalks and parking lots during inclement weather days. This includes snow, ice, mud, etc. Also, may assist with grounds keeping.

Requirements


Required Qualifications:

  • One year experience in environmental or floor maintenance services.
  • Valid Driver's License.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • High School Diploma or GED.
