What We Are Looking For

Maintains computing environment by identifying and addressing any computer or network related issues. Technician’s focus will be addressing internal help desk tickets and learning the roles and responsibilities of working in both an IT environment and team. Technician will be responsible for new hires setup and configuration 

Requirements
  • Address IT-related helpdesk requests and reported issues from on-premise and off-site employees 
  • Configure and setup workstations, PCs, and accounts for new hires 
  • Manage and configure network applications and appliances including websites, anti-virus, email/spam. 
  • Provision, configure, administer and monitor servers, network services, and devices, including firewall management. 
  • Provision hardware equipment and manage software licenses 
  • Perform patch management/updates for servers and end user PCs 
  • Administer VOIP-based hosted unified communication/telecom system 
  • Manage system back-up and restore activities 
  • Contribute to strategic IT projects & initiatives related to scale-able infrastructure technology solutions, including deployment. 
  • Perform other related duties as required and assigned, including documentation and inventory.

Experience

One to three years of similar or related experience in an IT Help Desk, preferably in network engineering and/or administration at companies with work forces > 100 employees.  


Education

(1) A college degree (non-technical discipline) or (2) multi-craft skills acquired through extensive on-the-job training or apprenticeship programs or (3) in-depth industry and job specific technical skills acquired through a combination of formal instruction and on-the-job training.
Bachelor of Science in Network Engineering, Computer Engineering, and/or Information Technology is preferred. Will consider additional relevant experience, certification and skills in lieu of a formal degree program.
