What Will You Be Doing?
As the Safety Manager, you will play a key role in leading and managing all aspects of safety at Spectro Alloys. You will be responsible for ensuring a safe work environment, ensuring compliance with federal and state regulations, and driving a culture of safety throughout the organization. You will also collaborate with teams to design and implement effective safety programs and initiatives.
Here’s what you’ll be doing day-to-day:
- Leading Safety Audits and Risk Assessments: Oversee safety audits, identify potential hazards, and implement corrective actions.
- Compliance Management: Ensure compliance with OSHA, EPA, and local safety regulations.
- Safety Training and Accident Prevention: Conduct safety training, emergency response drills, and develop accident prevention strategies.
- Hazardous Materials Oversight: Oversee safe handling and documentation of hazardous materials.
- Safety Culture Development: Continuously assess and enhance the organization’s safety culture, ensuring that safety is always a priority.
- Safety Compliance Reporting: Manage safety reporting and work with external regulatory agencies.
- Team Leadership: Lead and mentor safety staff, while collaborating with all departments to drive safety initiatives.
- Employee Guidance: Provide guidance on safety protocols, equipment usage, and emergency procedures.
Who We Are Looking For:
A proactive, safety-minded individual who is passionate about leading a safety-first culture.
- Education: Associate or Bachelor’s degree in Occupational Health & Safety, Business Management, or a related field.
- Experience: 3+ years of experience in a safety management role, preferably within manufacturing or industrial settings
Knowledge:
- Expertise in OSHA, EPA, and local environmental regulations.
- Familiarity with safety audits, incident investigations, root cause analysis, and accident prevention.
- Ability to lead safety programs and communicate effectively across teams.
Skills: Strong communication, leadership, problem-solving, and organizational skills, with the ability to work both independently and collaboratively.
Preferred Qualifications:
- OSHA 30/40-Hour certification, HAZWOPER certification, First Aid/CPR certifications.
- Bilingual English/Spanish skills are a plus.
- Experience working in a heavy industrial or manufacturing environment is a plus.

Age Requirement:
Must be at least 18 years old.
Education & Experience:
Required: Associate or Bachelor’s degree in Occupational Health & Safety, Environmental Science, or a related field.
Required: 3+ years of experience in a safety management or leadership role, preferably within a manufacturing or industrial setting.
Preferred: Experience in a heavy industrial or recycling environment.
Knowledge & Skills:

Physical & Environmental Requirements:
- Ability to work in an industrial environment, including exposure to heat, noise, and heavy machinery.
Comfortable with handling hazardous materials and working in various industrial conditions.
Ability to lift up to 50 lbs as needed.
Certifications & Training (Preferred but not required):
OSHA 30/40-Hour certification, HAZWOPER certification, First Aid/CPR.
Bi-lingual English/Spanish skills are a plus.
Background & Screening:
Must be able to pass a background check, physical exam, and drug screen (Safety first!).
