Job Description

The rover attendants work on call to fill in for various box sites depending on departmental needs . The general duties include the following: Monitoring waste and recycling collections to ensure only acceptable waste is received at our sites and that they are placed in the proper locations. Monitoring sites to ensure that only waste generated by Laurens County residential properties is delivered to our sites. Keeping the sites clean and tidy at all times. Applicants should be a minimum of 21 years old, have transportation to and from work, possess a pleasant personality and the ability to work well with the public, be in good physical condition, display a neat appearance and be reliable and trustworthy. Performs all duties in accordance with applicable policies, procedures, laws, regulations, and standards of quality and safety.

Laurens County encourages retired or semi-retired persons to apply as well as all other interested parties. This position works part time hours on a varied schedule of no more than 29.5 hours per week.

Applicants must be 21 years of age or older.

Must possess a Driver’s License.

Must have an acceptable driving record.

Must pass pre-employment drug testing.
