Work Schedule for a Landscape Designer III 

This full-time position typically works a flexible schedule of 40 hours a week. We also provide employees with the flexibility and necessary equipment to work from home 2 days per week. Our Boston office is conveniently located in Boston’s Downtown Crossing, directly adjacent to the iconic Boston Common, within a short walk to all of the major rapid transit lines and close to both North Station and South Station commuter rail lines. The office is easily accessed on foot, by bicycle, and via transit (Downtown Crossing, Park Station, South Station, SL4, SL5, and several buses including routes 43,7, 11).

Requirements

Qualifications of a Landscape Designer III: 

· A minimum education of a bachelor’s degree in landscape architecture, architecture, urban design or related

· Demonstrated knowledge through coursework or experience of site inventory and analysis (utilizing geographic information systems and analysis mapping), planting design and documentation, site grading, construction documents, and 3D modelling (parametric design and coding)


Job Duties of a Landscape Designer III:

· Manage multiple projects and technical tasks, small and medium size and complexity simultaneously, including directing/overseeing parallel tracks of work performed by others and managing subconsultants 

· Develop budgets and approaches for small and medium-sized tasks or projects 

· Conceptualize/initiate project design vision or concepts, with support of senior design staff 

· Apply and guide project phasing (concept, schematic, design development, final design) and deliverables with advanced level of proficiency 

· Prepare final deliverables that are error free with little-to-no oversight 

· Plan and lead internal project team and client progress meetings 

· Assist with QA/QC for more junior staff 

· Conduct proactive business development activities, including developing and nurturing client relationships and potential new projects 

· Prepare and review construction documents including plans, details, specifications, and estimates 

· Look for opportunities for business development, and proactively develop professional relationships 

· Facilitate internal project team and client progress meetings 

· Local travel to client sites required approximately 5%
