Principle Purpose of Job
As Banquet Captain, you’ll support the Banquet Manager in coordinating and supervising front-of-house operations for weddings, corporate functions, and private events. You’ll lead the service team during events, ensure all guest needs are met, and help create unforgettable experiences that reflect our standard of excellence.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Lead banquet service teams during events, ensuring top-tier guest experiences.
- Collaborate with the Banquet Manager to review and execute Banquet Event Orders (BEOs).
- Oversee event setup, service, and breakdown—keeping everything organized and on schedule.
- Communicate event details and expectations clearly to the banquet team.
- Address guest needs and resolve issues with professionalism and urgency.
- Manage event-related administrative tasks including deposits, tip distribution, and paperwork.
- Train and mentor banquet team members to maintain service excellence.
- Serve food and beverages in accordance with service standards.
- Operate banquet bars and handle cash and credit transactions.
- Ensure responsible alcohol service per TIPS certification requirements.
- Attend pre-event meetings and communicate BEO updates to staff.
- Monitor inventory and request supplies as needed.
- Other duties as assigned.
- 2–3 years of banquet or high-volume restaurant experience; leadership experience preferred.
- Strong organizational and multitasking skills in a fast-paced environment.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with a guest-focused mindset.
- Working knowledge of food and beverage service standards and POS systems.
- Ability to read and interpret detailed Banquet Event Orders.
- Moderate computer skills and comfort handling deposits, tips, and event reports.
- Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record.
- TIPS and ServSafe certification preferred.
Compensation Description:
$24.00 - $26.00/hr Competitive pay commensurate with education and experience.

Due to the nature of our 24-hour operation, there is no guaranteed work schedule. Managers will try to accommodate specific schedule requests, but they are never guaranteed if business volume prohibits.
