As the New Business Development Intern, you'll champion overall communication plans for prospecting outreach and work closely with our Director of Business Development in achieving sales goals. Through collaborating on a variety of client facing tasks, this role will learn the in's and out's of a sales career in the experiential marketing industry. This role is ideal for students entering their junior or senior year, or recent graduates looking for a summer/year-round internship. New Business Development Intern Responsibilities:
- Work closely with the Director of Business Development to execute outreach strategies and achieve team goals.
- Craft personalized email templates and content that resonate with potential customers.
- Assist in setting up appointments with potential clients at trade shows.
- Support senior team members by scheduling meetings and setting up key conversations.
- Track responses and engagement from potential customers.
- Gather feedback from prospects to refine outreach strategies.
- Research and identify potential customers attending trade shows in the U.S.
- Analyze industry trends and key players (exhibitors and competitors)
- Make outbound calls and prospecting emails to scout and qualify potential Derse customers.
- Maintain and update a CRM with key stats such as engagement, status updates, and next steps.
- Set and track weekly goals for outreach success (calls, emails, lead conversion).
- Prepare weekly reports on outreach progress, conversion rates, and pipeline status.
New Business Development Intern Requirements and Qualifications
- Must be entering into 3rd year college or 1st year Technical college with a degree in Sales or Marketing
- Strong collaboration and/or personal communication skills required.
- Must be comfortable making outbound calls to prospective clients.
- Highly organized, flexible and have the ability to work necessary hours in a fast-paced, deadline driven environment
- Demonstrated technical skills including advanced working knowledge in Microsoft Office
