This position provides a variety of general and skilled maintenance duties to ensure that all bank properties meet or exceed established standards. Responsibilities include maintaining and repairing mechanical, electrical, plumbing, and HVAC systems, performing preventative maintenance, and responding to maintenance issues promptly. The role also includes routine painting, drywall repair, light to moderate carpentry, and a variety of other maintenance tasks. The ideal candidate will have a strong technical background, a high attention to detail, excellent problem-solving skills, and the ability to work independently or as part of a team.


  • Troubleshoot, repair, and adjust a variety of HVAC, plumbing and electrical fixtures & components. 
  • Lubricate, clean, and replace parts as necessary to maintain equipment in good working condition.
  • Diagnose misc. facility issues and determine appropriate solutions.
  • Perform preventative maintenance on mechanical, HVAC, plumbing and electrical systems.
  • Conduct regular inspections of buildings and equipment.
  • Use diagnostic tools and equipment to identify and fix issues.
  • Ensure that each building's interior and exterior are well-maintained and ensure that grounds are clean and presentable.
  • Perform minor construction tasks such as carpentry, concrete, painting, and drywall repair.
  • Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities and repair.
  • Monitor and control maintenance inventory, parts and supplies as needed.
  • Clearly and effectively communicate work issues with manager. 
  • Proactively address building issues without prompting and provide sound recommendations when needed.
  • Provide excellent customer service assistance to internal and external clients.


Requirements
  • Proven experience as a Maintenance Technician in a similar facilities maintenance role.
  • Strong knowledge of mechanical, electrical, plumbing, and HVAC systems.
  • Experience with general property maintenance and painting. 
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
  • Ability to read and interpret technical manuals, blueprints, and other documents.
  • Strong communication skills, both verbally and in writing.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Proficiency with power tools, multi-meters, and general hand tools.
  • Possession of Universal CFC license is desirable.
  • Operating knowledge of maintenance software, Microsoft Office, current technology and an understanding of basic IT function.
  • Experience with computerized building automation systems (BAS) is helpful.
  • Must be able to lift and carry up to 50 pounds, drive for up to an hour at a time, and stand for up to 7 hours per day. Periodic bending, twisting repeatedly or consistently. The work is performed while sitting, standing, walking, bending, crouching or stooping, periodically, repeatedly and sometimes consistently for up to 7 hours per day.  
  • High school diploma (or equivalent) required.
  • Vocational training in a relevant field is desirable.
  • Relevant trade certifications or licenses (e.g., HVAC certification, Electrical certification) are beneficial.
  •  A minimum of five (5) years in facilities maintenance required.
  •  Possession of a valid Massachusetts Driver’s License with a clean driving record.
