The purpose of this position is to design, develop and maintain ABAP based applications in our S/4HANA environment. This includes supporting current custom ABAP applications within our global manufacturing, sales and distribution environments. Many of these applications integrate with external systems via service calls. Technology is a very important part of the Ball Horticultural Company, therefore this must be a high potential individual who can contribute to our infrastructure strategies.? 

Responsibilities:?  

• Providing the best S/4HANA functionality in the industry by leveraging ABAP, IDocs, Custom Functions and Classes, Smart Forms/SAP Script, CDS and Fiori interfaces. (40%) 
• Suggest solutions which leverage S/4HANA toolsets and best practices. 
• Blueprinting, configuration, testing, training and post implementation support of custom applications.
• Providing clear documentation and participating in Knowledge Transfer with the team. 
• Design, code and correct large and/or complex programs and program modifications as custom development, or within an existing application 
• Provide technical leadership and mentoring to members of the team. Lead projects and help manage offshore resources as needed. Meet with the leadership team to give input and suggest best practices and approaches based on requirements. Collaborate with cross-functional teams on a regular basis.

• Ensuring stability of our applications by resolving application problems quickly and identifying their root causes to implement proactive monitoring and prevention (20%) 
• Delivering a high-quality and bug free applications by coordinating and participating in testing to adhere to quality control standards (10%) 
•  Maintaining and executing automated test scripts (Tosca and Neoload)? 
• Conducting unit, integration and user acceptance testing to validate functionality (10%) 

• BS in Computer Science or equivalent work experience 
• Integration with 3rd party products 
• 5+ years in IT systems development and support in a manufacturing, sales and distribution, or horticultural company? 
• 3+ years doing hands on development using SAP ABAP – related to S/4HANA, MM, PP, FI & SD modules. ?Includes SAP development tools (SAP Service Marketplace, Eclipse, SAP Notes search and SDN, performance tuning) 
• ABAP and ABAP OO Skills 
• Leadership and mentoring skills 
• Perform end-user training as well as internal cross-training to other team members 
• Understanding of development methodologies such as ASAP, Agile, ITIL or equivalent? 
• Experience with 2 or more of the following programming and reporting tools (SQL, LSMW, Data Dictionary, CATT, Smart Forms/SAPScript, IDoc, ALV, EDI/XML, CDS, security & authorization profiles) 
• MS Windows environment and Office applications? 
• Ability to travel less than 5% of the year on average.  

 Salary range: $100-120K
