As we continue to grow, we are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Production Engineer to join our dynamic team. As an intermediate Production Engineer at Radial Power, you will play a crucial role in supporting and optimizing our energy modelling processes. You will work closely with senior engineers and cross-functional teams to ensure efficient manufacturing operations, improve production quality, and contribute to the development of new products. This role is ideal for recent graduates with a bachelor’s degree in an engineering field who are eager to launch their career in a fast-paced and innovative environment.
Key Job Responsibilities
- Production Support: Assist in the day-to-day management and validation of production engineering, including reviewing third-party production reports.
- Process Improvement: Identify opportunities for process optimization and efficiency. Assist in implementing changes and evaluating their impact on production performance.
- Research – Stay up to date on latest industry best practices for performance modelling. Review IE reports and white papers to continuously update internal production SOPs
- Optimization: Work closely with internal teams to design systems with lowest LCOE. Develop and have a good understanding of major PV equipment and associated performance and loss parameters.
- Quality Assurance: Support quality control activities by conducting inspections, analyzing data, and ensuring that materials and equipment meet specified standards and requirements.
- Data Analysis: Collect and analyze operational production data to identify trends, deviations, and areas for improvement. Prepare and analyze reports and present findings to senior engineers and management.
- Technical Documentation: Develop and maintain technical documentation, including process instructions, standard operating procedures (SOPs), and equipment manuals.
- Collaboration: Work closely with other engineering teams, production staff, and suppliers to resolve technical issues and implement best practices.
- Training: Assist in training production personnel on new processes, equipment, and safety procedures.
Qualifications
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or a related engineering field.
- At least 1-3 years of experience in Energy production modelling using PVSyst, Helioscope, PVCase or other modelling softwares. Familiarity with AutoCad/Sketchup is a Plus.
- Able to optimize solar designs and conduct shading analysis in conjunction with site assessment reports
- Technical Skills: Understanding of PV production modelling, production systems, and engineering principles. Familiarity with CAD software and data analysis tools.
- Knowledge of NEC codes and other relevant industry standards is a plus
- Problem-Solving: Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a keen attention to detail.
- Communication: Effective verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
- Adaptability: Ability to quickly learn new concepts and adapt to changing priorities in a fast-paced setting.
