Shifts available Overnight Shift with 11 PM to 12 AM Start times. 8 hour shifts. This is a FT position. Must be willing to work one shift per weekend. Onsite Only.


 

No experience is necessary for right candidate. Training is provided.

 
 

What you bring us:

· Excellent communication skills to effectively interact with individuals in crisis

· Professional phone skills and clear speaking voice

· Strong problem-solving abilities to assess situations and provide appropriate interventions

· Ability to remain calm and composed in high-pressure situations

· Ability to maintain confidential information

· Empathy and compassion towards individuals experiencing crisis

· Ability to work collaboratively with a team of professionals to ensure the safety and well-being of individuals in crisis

· Strong organizational skills (detail oriented) to manage multiple cases and prioritize tasks effectively

· Competence with computer systems, data entry, and databases

· Self-Motivated

· Dependable and reliable

It's a plus if you have the following:

· Knowledge of crisis intervention techniques and best practices

· Previous experience volunteering or working in social services or non-profit fields

· Completed some college-level courses

Mental Health America of Greenville County is increasing its staffing and is hiring full-time Crisis Intervention Specialists to handle the 24/7 988 Suicide & Crisis Lifeline via phone, chat and text, offering support, information and referral, and crisis intervention. This is an onsite, afternoon or evening role which includes at least one weekend shift a week.
