Description

As an Inventory Lead, you'll oversee and manage inventory operations, ensuring accuracy, efficiency, and optimal stock levels. This includes leading a team, analyzing data, and implementing strategies to minimize costs and waste, while ensuring timely fulfillment of customer orders.

Requirements
  • Team Leadership:
    • Lead and motivate inventory staff, providing guidance and training. 
    • Manage schedules, delegate tasks, and ensure efficient workflow. 
    • Address personnel issues and promote a positive team environment. 
  • Inventory Management:
    • Monitor inventory levels, identify potential shortages or surpluses, and implement strategies to optimize stock levels. 
    • Ensure accurate record-keeping of inventory transactions, including receipts, shipments, and adjustments. 
    • Conduct regular cycle counts and reconcile inventory discrepancies. 
    • Analyze sales data and forecasting to anticipate future needs and optimize ordering. 
    • Develop and implement inventory control procedures to minimize costs and waste. 
  • Supplier Relations:
    • Establish and maintain relationships with suppliers to ensure timely and cost-effective deliveries. 
    • Negotiate contracts and ensure compliance with supplier agreements. 
  • Data Analysis and Reporting:
    • Analyze inventory data to identify trends and patterns, and make recommendations for improvement. 
    • Generate reports on inventory levels, turnover, and other key metrics. 
  • Problem-Solving:
    • Identify and resolve inventory-related issues, such as shortages, damaged goods, or discrepancies. 
    • Implement solutions to improve inventory accuracy and efficiency. 
  • Compliance:
    • Ensure compliance with company policies and procedures related to inventory management. 
    • Adhere to relevant industry standards and regulations. 

Skills and Qualifications:

  • Experience: Proven experience in inventory management, warehouse operations, or a related field. 
  • Leadership Skills: Ability to lead, motivate, and manage a team effectively. 
  • Analytical Skills: Strong analytical skills to analyze data, identify trends, and make informed decisions. 
  • Problem-Solving Skills: Ability to identify and resolve inventory-related issues effectively. 
  • Communication Skills: Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, to interact with team members, suppliers, and other stakeholders. 
  • Organizational Skills: Strong organizational skills to manage multiple tasks and priorities effectively. 
  • Computer Skills: Proficiency in using inventory management software and other relevant computer applications. 
  • Knowledge of Inventory Management Principles: Understanding of inventory control techniques, such as ABC analysis, cycle counting, and just-in-time inventory
