Description

Position Summary

Supervises all aspects of the properties direct marketing efforts. Analyzes market information and customer database for strategic marketing planning purposes. Assists in the managing of various marketing fulfillment duties including direct mail, e-mail, text, letters, brochures, and other literature.

 

Essential Functions

  • Supervises all aspects of the Direct Marketing Department.
  • Assists with managing of the player database and direct mail operation to include internal and prospect list procurement. 
  • Ensures that the Direct Marketing department is in compliance with all policies and procedures.
  • Inventories all departmental print consumables (letterhead, envelopes, postcards, etc.) and places orders to maintain par levels of stock at all times.
  • Ensures accuracy of all offers, customer records, and mailing information. 
  • Thoroughly test and proofread all creative including verifying copy, layout, and all other forms of variable content.
  • Accesses the player tracking system and makes edits to the system as necessary.
  • Queries the player tracking database for specific Marketing/gaming information including guest demographics, comments, and needs.
  • Disseminate information about all direct mail campaigns, including events, to appropriate departments.
  • Provides exemplary service for all internal and external customers.
  • Resolves guest inquiries and requests, including correspondence by phone, letter & email.
  • Conducts statistical analysis of all direct mail pieces, response rates, etc.
  • Analyzes results of direct marketing campaigns and suggest opportunities for improvement. 
  • Lead and manage multiple projects simultaneously setting own priorities to ensure timely completion.
  • Schedule and coordinate text and e-mail campaigns.
  • Participates in designing customer surveys to obtain marketing information about organization products and services.
  • Prepares monthly reports as necessary.
  • Participates in the development, implementation, and evaluation of goals, objectives, programs, promotions, budgets, policies and procedures.
  • Assigns duties and responsibilities to team members. 
  • Participates in all aspects of staffing, training and scheduling of Team Members.
  • Responsible for preparing evaluations and recommending disciplinary actions when required. 
  • Assists at property special events/promotions as needed.
  • Performs all duties in accordance with CWCR policies and procedures.
  • Assists with events to include ushering, setup, breakdown, and item distribution.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Education

High School Diploma or GED

Associates college degree in Marketing, Business or related field preferred.

 

Experience

Two years of experience in database marketing, finance, or other quantitative, analytical field required.

Two years management/supervisory experience.

Two years working in a casino environment preferred.

 

Computer Skills

Microsoft Office intermediate level or higher to include Word, Excel, Outlook, and Access.

Experience in database structure and creating queries is required.

Structured Query Language (SQL) or Oasis Player Rating System or other experience in relational database software preferred.

 

Certificates & Licenses

Valid Driver’s License.

Must obtain a Siletz Tribal Gaming License.

 

Other Requirements

Thorough understanding of casino groups, reward, and player ratings.

Experience with office, print and postage/mail equipment.

Working experience with variable data through print and e-marketing

Work Environment

Work will take place in a small office environment with occasional exposure to a busy resort and gaming environment with multiple distractions. The noise level in the work environment is usually quiet to moderate. Occasionally the work environment will be in locations exposed to smoke and the associated affects.  

 

Working Conditions

Conditions of employment include passing a pre-employment drug screen, a background investigation, and completing a 180-day introductory period.
