Description
Shrewsberry & Associates, LLC seeks Project Manager-Construction Services in Indianapolis, IN.
Hybrid position-some telecommuting flexibility, but a requirement to physically be in the Indianapolis, IN office/project site as needed.
Responsible for managing all aspects of construction projects, from initial planning and design through to completion and closeout.
Key Responsibilities:
- Project Initiation: Collaborate with the project owner to define project objectives, scope, budget, and schedule.
- Develop a comprehensive project management plan, including risk assessment and mitigation strategies.
- Project Planning: Create and manage detailed project schedules, ensuring that all activities are well-coordinated.
- Oversee the selection and procurement of contractors, architects, and consultants.
- Assist in the development of project budgets and monitor financial performance throughout the project.
- Design and Pre-construction: Coordinate with design professionals, owner, relevant stakeholders and ensure that designs meet project objectives, regulatory requirements, and quality standards.
- Review and assess bids, proposals, and contracts for construction services.
- Conduct value engineering to optimize project costs and quality.
- Construction Management: Supervise and manage all construction activities to ensure they meet safety, quality, and schedule requirements.
- Conduct regular site visits and inspections to monitor progress and compliance with plans and specifications.
- Resolve any construction-related issues, conflicts, or changes as they arise.
- Project Documentation: Maintain comprehensive project documentation, including progress reports, meeting minutes, and project records.
- Ensure all required permits and approvals are obtained and maintained throughout the project.
- Risk Management: Identify potential risks and develop strategies to mitigate them.
- Implement safety protocols and monitor adherence to safety regulations on the construction site.
- Change Management: Evaluate and manage changes in project scope, schedule, or budget.
- Ensure proper documentation and communication of change orders.
- Closeout and Handover: Oversee project closeout activities, including commissioning, punch lists, and final inspections.
- Facilitate the turnover of the project to the owner, ensuring all required documentation and training are provided.
10% domestic travel required.
Requirements
Position requires: Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering and 1 year of experience as a civil engineer, or related experience.
