We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Executive Kitchen Steward to oversee the stewarding function in all kitchen areas. The ideal candidate will ensure cleanliness, sanitation, and compliance with state and local health regulations. This management-level position requires a proactive approach to leadership and a commitment to maintaining high standards in our kitchen operations.
Skills and Qualifications:
- Proven experience in a kitchen management or stewarding role.
- Strong knowledge of health and safety regulations related to food service.
- Excellent leadership and team management skills.
- Ability to work independently and exercise discretion and judgment.
- Strong organizational and multitasking abilities.
- Effective communication skills, both verbal and written.
- Flexibility to work varying shifts, including weekends and holidays, as needed.
- Manage and supervise the stewarding team to ensure efficient operations and cleanliness and sanitation standards adherence.
- Ensure compliance with all state and local health regulations within kitchen areas.
- Oversee the training and development of kitchen staff in proper cleaning and sanitation procedures.
- Conduct regular inspections of kitchen areas to maintain high standards of cleanliness and organization.
- Collaborate with kitchen management to optimize workflow and improve operational efficiency.
- Maintain inventory of cleaning supplies and equipment, ensuring adequate stock levels.
- Implement and enforce safety and sanitation policies and procedures.
