Humm Kombucha is on a mission to get the goodness of Humm into as many hands as possible — and this summer, we’re looking for seasonal Fermentation Technicians to help make it happen.

ABOUT THE ROLE:

As a Summer Fermentation Technician, you’ll work alongside our skilled Brew Team to bring our kombucha to life — from brewing tea and fermenting, to flavoring and carbonating. You’ll learn the ins and outs of beverage production in a real-world environment that prioritizes quality, safety, and teamwork.


SUMMER SHIFTS AVAILABLE:

We’re currently hiring for daytime shifts with flexibility in both days and times to fit your summer availability. Some examples of available shifts include:

  • Monday-Thursday | 5:00am -- 2:30pm
  • Tuesday-Friday | 5:00am–2:30pm

WHAT YOU'LL DO:

  • Brew, ferment, and finish (flavor + carbonate) kombucha according to set recipes
  • Follow strict food safety and GMP (Good Manufacturing Practices) protocols
  • Maintain clean, organized workspaces and sanitized equipment
  • Perform quality checks and log detailed production data
  • Participate in daily team check-ins and cross-functional collaboration
  • Pitch in on special projects and continuous improvement initiatives
  • Support safety protocols and company policies
     

WHAT YOU'LL BRING:

  • Curiosity about fermentation, brewing, or beverage products.
  • A team-oriented mindset and strong work ethic
  • Ability to adapt to change, stay organized, and keep a positive attitude
  • Comfortable with physical work (lifting, moving, standing for long periods)
  • Bonus if you’ve worked in food/beverage manufacturing, but not required!

Requirements

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Applicants must be 18 years of age or older to be eligible for this position due to safety regulations and operational requirements.
  • Education: High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Strong verbal communication & organization skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as a part of a team
  • Able to deal with frequent change, delays, or unexpected events and react well under pressure.
  • Ability to follow precise instructions
  • Manual labor experience
  • Willingness to learn
  • Proficient in the basic computer skills; spreadsheets, email & word processing. Google Suite experience preferred

WORKING CONDITIONS:

  • Lift 55 pounds frequently
  • Work at heights while lifting
  • Loud, acidic and humid working environment
  • Indoor, outdoor and refrigerated environments in all weather conditions
  • Working with forklifts, pallet jacks, high powered pumps, chemicals, extreme temperature liquids, heavy equipment
  • Work on your feet for 8-10 hours daily
