Description

What You'll Do


  1. Accurately inspects all assigned products produced on circular knitting machine to determine pass/fail criteria.
  2. Verifies DQS sizing of products running on all machines in set 1/shift.
  3. Identifies product defects, accurately codes and designates scrap issues.
  4. Follows proper procedures to ensure product is knit to specifications.
  5. Meets the established production and quality goals as set by management.
  6. Accurately records assigned jobs in the Company’s business software system.
  7. Cleans work area daily.
  8. Supports physical inventory counts - Year End & Cycle Counts as instructed in accordance with set procedures and planning schedules.
  9. Supports and follows all company policies, procedures and safety guidelines.
  10. Fosters positive morale among staff, by promotion of open communication with all departments, to help create and maintain an innovative and cooperative staff relationship and environment.
  11. Demonstrates effective communication methods.
  12. Appropriate management staff are kept informed of developments affecting their functions.
  13. Responds quickly to all oral and written communications;
  14. Maintains and encourages an open line of communication with both internal and external customers;
  15. Checks and responds to voice mail messages in a timely manner;
  16. Accurately and legibly presents written data to affected internal/external customer.
  17. Follows established company policies and procedures to ensure compliance with SIGVARIS policies, industry standards, ISO 13485 standards, 6S and Lean Manufacturing, and Federal, State and local laws.
  18. Assists with the implementation of Lean/Kaizen initiatives or events in the department.
  19. Follows all work instructions, creates and maintains accurate records to meet all internal and external requirements to support the SIGVARIS Quality System and Quality Policy.
  20. Accurately performs any other duties as assigned to ensure an efficient workflow.

Requirements

High school or GED or equivalent in education and experience, preferred.  This job operates in a manufacturing environment. 

  • Regularly required to stand and walk from machine to machine for long periods of time.
  • Ability to walk, use hands to finger, handle or feel, reach with hands and arms, talk or hear, bend, lift or climb.
  • Occasionally required to lift light weights (less than 25 pounds).
  • Finger dexterity and hand coordination required.
  • Specific vision abilities required for this job include: close vision, distance vision, ability to adjust or focus
