Financial Planning & Analysis Manager
Description

Manage various accounting functions and provide operational support to the VP of Finance. 

  

  1. Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial budgets, forecasts and reports.
  2. Manage and oversee financial planning, budgeting, forecasting and analysis, and payroll.
  3. Oversee and supervise payroll functions, ensuring pay is processed on time, accurately, and in compliance with government regulation, including payroll tax filings and 401k compliance.
  4. Develop and maintain financial models for budgeting and forecasting. 
  5. Analyze current financial performance against historical data and forecasts.
  6. Provide financial analysis support for the budgeting and forecasting processes.
  7. Lead annual budgeting process, including capital expenditure planning.
  8. Collaborate with various departments to align financial goals with business objectives.
  9. Proactively identify opportunities for improvement of financial performance in accordance with corporate objectives; pursue and communicate opportunities identified.
  10. Establish and support challenging goals for self, finance staff, and management of company, monitor results and coach others on actions to achieve results.
  11. Maintain confidential information & perform other duties as assigned by VP of Finance.
Requirements
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting
  • CPA and/or MBA  
  • At least 3-5 years of accounting experience, preferably in a manufacturing environment
  • In depth understanding of GAAP & Internal Controls
  • Experience in budgeting, standard cost rate development, general ledger/accounting, management reporting, variance analysis, payroll tax and sales tax reporting, and general business issues
  • Experience overseeing payroll, payroll tax filings & compliance, payroll software maintenance  
  • Demonstrated experience in continuous improvement – Six Sigma and/or Lean Training 
  • Experience with Microsoft Office Products including Excel, Outlook, Word, PowerPoint/etc.
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills 
  • Ability to prioritize and work independently and diligently under pressure
  • Strong management/leadership skills and strong attention to detail

Additional desired skills:

  • Experience in engineered to order manufacturing 
  • Experience with Paylocity (payroll software) and/or M1 (ERP)
  • Experience working for private equity owned business
  • M&A due diligence and transaction accounting experience
