PHP House Manager

Job Summary:

The House Manager will provide oversight services to the PHP House, ensuring that it operates in a safe, effective, and compassionate manner, while supporting the well-being of all residents. The House Manager is not required to provide intervention or counseling services but may provide basic oversight and support to residents.


Qualifications:

  • A minimum of two years of experience in behavioral health, social work, or a related field strongly preferred.
  • Strong communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to identify and respond appropriately to emergency situations with professionalism and compassion.
  • A basic understanding of the needs of residents with behavioral health/substance use disorder challenges.
  • Ability to maintain boundaries and professionalism while fostering a supportive environment for the residents.
  • Committed to sobriety and a drug-free lifestyle.

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Monitoring residents, ensuring adherence to house rules, policies, and behavioral expectations.
  • Orienting new residents.
  • Overseeing drug screening and Soberlink requirements.
  • Ensuring the house is properly maintained, cleaned, and organized.
  • Assisting with conducting house searches.
  • Assisting with acquiring house supplies and groceries as needed.
  • Holding residents accountable to house meetings, activities, and programs as necessary, including peer-led and community groups.
  • Monitoring any incidents or emergencies that arise in the house and contacting the appropriate Organization’s staff or Emergency Services immediately.
  • Maintaining open communication with the Organization regarding any concerns, incidents, or maintenance needs.
  • Providing verbal or written reports to the Organization as requested. 
  • The House Manager is expected to live on-site and will perform primary responsibilities during the evening and overnight hours. Oversight is not full time and the House Manager is permitted to maintain an outside job.
