POSITION SUMMARY

The DV Expansion EMERG Coordinator will be responsible for leading coordination efforts for the EMERG (Emergency Response Group) Coalition and programmatic oversight of the Domestic Violence/Sexual Assault (DV/SA) expansion efforts within the CoC service area. This role involves overseeing resource management, facilitating communication across multiple organizations, and ensuring timely responses to emergencies, particularly for survivors of DV/SA and encampment support. This comprehensive role emphasizes collaboration, responsiveness, and ensuring both EMERG and DV/SA service efforts are effectively coordinated across the CoC geography, benefiting the most vulnerable populations in the community.



ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES

  1. Manage all aspects of the EMERG Coalition, including scheduling and facilitating quarterly coordination calls and emergency coordination calls.
  2. Maintain and regularly update a comprehensive contact list of key partners.
  3. Ensure ongoing communication and follow-up with partners to track outcomes and commitments.
  4. Oversee emergency alert email communications and ensure timely dissemination of critical information.
  5. Maintain and update a list of critical resources and coordinate responses with municipal and law enforcement partners as needed.
  6. Collect, analyze, and synthesize outreach data, preparing reports to share with the full EMERG group.
  7. Attend CoC Coordinated Entry Case Conferencing meetings to support providers and share relevant updates on EMERG efforts.
  8. Work collaboratively with coalitions such as the Western Mass Network to End Homelessness, Housing First Task Force, and Franklin/Quabbin Emergency Services.
  9. Assess and triage non-emergency calls and emails to determine escalation needs.
  10. Lead monthly DV Expansion Committee meetings, fostering cross-sector collaboration to improve services for DV/SA survivors.
  11. Lead and coordinate monthly DV case conferencing and resolve barriers for DV/SA survivors accessing housing and services.
  12. Support the referral process for DV/SA survivors, ensuring timely access to services while maintaining confidentiality and safety.
  13. Assist in managing emergency transfer plans for survivors under VAWA compliance alongside the CoC Compliance Manager.
  14. Provide technical assistance in partnership with the CoC Compliance Manager to housing providers on VAWA rules and regulations, ensuring access to safe housing options.
  15. Identify service gaps and advocate for additional resources to support program development.
  16. Support the development and maintenance of reporting, monitoring, and technical assistance procedures, program manuals, and CoC Charters related to VAWA.
  17. Assist in organizing and executing special events, including the Point-in-Time Count (PIT).
  18. Inspire and motivate others to achieve increasing levels of performance excellence.
  19. Take an active leadership role in valuing and promoting different perspectives and opinions and approaches.
  20. Participate in CoC membership and CoC Board meetings, as needed, to provide leadership.
  21. Staff CoC Committees as assigned by the Director.
  22. Build and maintain strong relationships with community stakeholders and partners, funded and non-funded programs to further CoC goals, ensure supportive practices and responses to people who are experiencing homelessness are developed and maintained and HUD regulations are followed. 
  23. Represent the CoC at community meetings, coalitions, and conferences. 
  24. Work collaboratively with technical assistance providers. 
  25. Required to travel regularly throughout the CoC service area, to CAPV sites, and occasionally out of the service area. 
  26. Comply with agency and funders’ paperwork requirements and procedures. 
  27. Remote work available complying with the agency’s policy. 
  28. Attend regularly scheduled supervision meetings, department-wide and leadership team meetings, mandatory agency trainings, and participate in professional development activities.
  29. Maintain strictest confidentiality.
  30. Perform related work as required

QUALIFICATIONS/SKILLS

  • Familiarity with Franklin, Hampshire, and Berkshire counties, including local organizations and resources.
  • Experience working with marginalized communities, including youth, veterans, people experiencing homelessness, and survivors of domestic violence.
  • Ability to think strategically, set program goals, and develop actionable steps for implementation.
  • Strong attention to detail and adaptability to changing priorities.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and database management.


To Qualify 

Minimum Qualifications/Transferable Skills: 

  • At least 4 years of experience in human services, working with low-income individuals or families and vulnerable populations.
  • Experience in an office setting, including data entry and administrative tasks.
