Description
- Supervise and support Individuals based on their individual needs as defined in their Individual Service Plans (ISP), while keeping in mind what is important to and for the individuals.
- Provide training and assistance with daily living skills such as but not limited to the following: hygiene, grooming, meal preparation, assisting with food intake, and medication management as prescribed or ordered, toileting, etc.
- Assist with communication using tools and devices tailored to the individuals' needs and provide safe transportation with available company vehicle of last resort personal vehicles.
- Document activities, behaviors, and progress clearly, while maintaining a safe and clean environment as well as report safety concerns.
- Respond to emergency situations using appropriate protocols.
Requirements
- Must be 21 years or older.
- High School Diploma or GED required.
- Have reliable transportation with car insurance and a valid Georgia Driver's License.
- Capable of lifting/pushing/pulling up to 50 lbs. and having negative drug and TB screenings.
- Clear criminal background and acceptable motor vehicle.
- Pass CPR/First Aid, De-escalation Techniques, Vehicle Evacuation Training with 90 days of hire.
- Successfully complete Test of Functional Health Literacy in Adults (TOFHLA).
- 1 to 2 years of experience supporting individuals with developmental disabilities in a day or residential program setting (PREFERRED)
- This position requires the ability to work the overnight shift from 11:00 PM to 7:00 AM on Friday and Saturdays. Candidates must be dependable, alert, and able to remain attentive throughout the entire shift to ensure the safety and well-being of the individuals supported.
Salary Description
$17.88 per hour/BIWEEKLY
