About the Role
We're looking for a visionary and strategic Chief Development Officer (CDO) to lead our Development team. You’ll oversee fundraising, mentor recruitment, and marketing efforts to grow our impact across the community. Reporting to the CEO, the CDO drives our revenue strategy, builds strong community partnerships, and ensures our mission thrives.

What You'll Do
- Lead & Strategize: Develop and execute strategies for fundraising, recruitment, and marketing that align with organizational goals.
- Fundraise & Build Relationships: Oversee donor engagement, major gifts, and high-impact events to meet revenue goals.
- Drive Recruitment: Lead mentor/mentee recruitment campaigns and partnerships to meet match goals.
- Manage & Inspire: Lead a team of 3–5, ensuring alignment, accountability, and innovation across all development efforts.
- Champion Our Brand: Create and execute marketing campaigns to boost brand visibility and community engagement.
- Collaborate: Work with internal teams, board members, and community stakeholders to advance our mission.
What We’re Looking For
Must-Haves:
- Bachelor’s degree
- 3–5 years in fundraising, development, or sales
- 3+ years managing teams
- Proven success in strategy execution, goal setting, and stakeholder management
- Strong leadership, customer service, and communication skills
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office and CRM/database systems
Nice-to-Haves:
- Knowledge of Albuquerque’s donor and community partner landscape
- Experience with volunteer or youth-serving organizations
