Essential Functions:
- Implement a recruitment plan to meet staffing needs and organization priorities; assists operations team with interviewing and cause-driven onboarding and training
- Communicates with organization leadership about supervisor communication, feedback, recognition, and interaction with employees
- In conjunction with leadership, manages, updates, organizes and submits assigned monthly, quarterly and annual employee data reports and interpret data
- In conjunction with leadership, organizes, tracks and monitors safety and risk management training
- Administers annual employee surveys; presents results and assists with the implementation of goals
- Completes and manages required association background checks
- Manages, updates and audits employee personnel files
- Leads employee engagement efforts, including anniversary and birthday recognition, and monthly employee communication
- Leads employee engagement committee, to promote employee engagement and positive work environment
- Collaborates with operations team and Finance & Human Resources Director to investigate and resolve employee issues and conflicts
- In conjunction with organization leadership administers employee handbook and Human Resources policies, procedures, and programs to ensure compliance with applicable federal, state, and local laws
- Organizes and supports quarterly Human Resources Committee meetings
Requirements
- Bachelor’s Degree in Business, Human Resources, Management or related field and/or equivalent experience is preferred, but not required.
- SHRM-CP credential preferred, but not required. Can be obtained upon hire.
- Working understanding of human resources principles, practices, procedures and state and federal regulations
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Strong time management and project management skills, with a proven track record of effectively driving process improvement, multitasking and a high attention to detail
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite required.
- Highly motivated and innovative with ability to work both independently and as a team
- Able to develop strong working relationships and foster trust in handling confidential situations
- CPR/AED for the Professional Rescuer or equivalent, and Basic First Aid (required). Training can be provided upon hire and must be obtained within 30 days.
