Position Overview
The Processing Manager is an experienced mortgage professional who can thrive in a fast-paced environment and has the ability to manage all facets of the day-to-day operation of the loan processing functional area; all with a keen discipline for detail.
Essential Duties
- Responsible for ensuring that the processing team achieves monthly production goals
- Responsible for ensuring that processing staff meet corporate customer service, productivity, attendance, and quality standards
- Responsible for ensuring that the processing team maintains corporate service level standards related to: initial customer welcome calls, loan file submissions, and loan file resubmissions
- Regularly provide both positive and negative feedback to direct reports regarding work performance and conduct; this may include both informal coaching and formal corrective action, as necessary to support the creation and maintenance of a high-performing team
- Participate in the development, documentation, training, and implementation of departmental policies and procedures
- Provide initial escalation path to processing staff related to the handling of customer service incidents and complaints
- Responsible for interviewing & hiring new processing staff
- Responsible for providing other departmental leaders with written feedback for the purpose of improving overall corporate operational efficiency
- Responsible for forecasting departmental staffing needs based on projected workload
- Conduct annual performance reviews with direct reports
- Incumbent will be responsible for meeting Texana Bank’s commitment to compliance
Requirements
Minimum Requirements
- High School diploma or GED required. Bachelor degree preferred
- Must have a very strong working knowledge of the mortgage banking industry methods and practices with 5 or more years Processing Manager Experience
- The ability to motivate or influence others is a material part of the job, requiring a significant level of diplomacy and trust.
- Obtaining cooperation internally and or externally is an important part of the job.
- Ability to coach others to perform new tasks beyond their current responsibilities and encouraging others to build continuously on their skills will be key to success for this position
- Ability to work with cross-functional, multi-cultural teams
