WHAT YOU'LL DO:
As a BIM Specialist you will be at the forefront of innovation—designing, developing, and deploying advanced computational workflows that transform how we deliver secure, intelligent environments. Leveraging tools like Revit, Dynamo, Python, and BIM 360/ACC, you will enhance the way our Design Services team approaches problem-solving through automation, parametric modeling, and smart data integration.

POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES
The essential duties and responsibilities include, but are not limited to the following:
Computational Design & Tool Development
- Create, optimize, and deploy advanced parametric workflows for system layout, equipment planning, and spatial analysis.
- Develop custom tools, scripts, and plugins using C#, Python, Dynamo and Revit API to streamline repetitive or complex design tasks
- Explore generative design, performance-driven modeling, and data visualization to support secure design strategies
- Build integrations between design software and external systems via APIs (e.g. BIM 360/ACC, Quickbase, Sharepoint)
Standards, Templates & Libraries
- Develop and maintain Revit templates, families, and shared parameters tailored for company and client standards
- Ensure consistent modeling standards and documentation across all projects
Technical Support & Collaboration
- Provide training, troubleshooting, and technical support to design teams on Revit, Dynamo, and related BIM tools
- Collaborate with IT for version control, license management, and tool deployment
- Partner with project leads and leadership to identify inefficiencies and propose tech-driven solutions
Documentation & Innovation
- Document scripts, tools, standards, and workflows for internal knowledge-sharing
- Stay current with trends in computational design, automation, and BIM innovation—bringing fresh insights to the team
WHAT YOU'LL NEED:
Experience: 5+ years of experience working with Revit, Dynamo, and computational design in a professional environment required. Background in physical security, electrical systems, or ICT design is highly preferred.
Education: Associate degree, Autodesk Certified Professional in Revit for Electrical Design, or relevant work experience
Knowledge:
- Familiarity with Revit template creation, family management, and shared parameters is preferred
- Knowledge of physical security/ICT/electrical systems (access control, intrusion detection, surveillance) is preferred
Skills:
- Advanced proficiency in Dynamo for Revit (2018-2025)
- Experience coding with C# or Python
- Experience creating tools using Revit API, BIM 360/ACC, and visual programming environments
- Familiarity with tools such as PyRevit, DiRoots, Orkestra, Bluebeam API, and Quickbase. Openness to learning and integrating new technologies is essential.
- Experience with Visual Studio or similar development environments
Abilities:
- Exceptional attention to detail and highly organized, with the ability to prioritize and balance workloads
- Demonstrated excellence in communicating and presenting complex information to technical and non-technical stakeholders, both verbally and in written form
- Tech-savvy professional, who is curious about new technologies and demonstrated ability to apply new systems to everyday tasks

WHAT'S IMPORTANT TO KNOW:
- The ability to work Monday - Friday, 7 am - 4 pm or 8 am - 5 pm with extended hours as needed is required
- Must have a quiet, designated workspace and access to high-speed internet (minimum 200Mbps d/l, 10 Mbps u/l)
- This position is not eligible for visa sponsorship
- Candidates must be able to meet client and/or government security screening requirements for the role
- This position requires verification of U.S. citizenship due to citizenship-based legal restrictions. As a condition of employment, the successful candidate will be required to provide proof of citizenship.
- The successful completion of a background check is required upon hire and every two years thereafter
