Description

Purpose / General Description: Maintenance Equipment Operator is responsible for performing, property maintenance, material handling, recycling and trash duties, equipment operation, and infrastructure maintenance.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Perform: Material handling/movement with operation of heavy equipment, process equipment and hand tools, keep raw materials filled for internal and external customer consumption, process waste and recycled concrete and block into usable material, etc.
  • Perform area maintenance activities: Maintain/clean tools, equipment, and company grounds (drainage ditches, retention ponds, wash out pits, internal driving surfaces, etc. as needed to ensure safety and reliability. Ensure trash and recycling are processed in an efficient and timely manner. 
  • Perform Fugitive Dust mitigation duties: Audit for Fugitive Dust and perform actions to mitigate by sprinkling internal grounds and materials to mitigate Fugitive Dust emissions.
  • Consistently perform tasks safely: Adhere to all safety policies and work practices before performing any task. Wear proper PPE for the job, ensure safety devices are installed and functional, wear fall protection devices as needed, adhere to confined space requirements.
  • Maintain accurate and timely recordkeeping: Work orders, inspection logs, LOTO, confined space, labor hours, project costs, etc.
  • Be an effective team member: Always wear PPE and work safely, be an example of good behavior. Follow all work processes and policies. Work cooperatively with co-workers. Productively manage working hours and work schedules to support project schedules.
  • Other duties as assigned.
Requirements

Minimum Requirements:

  • High School / GED 
  • Must have a valid CDL license, and reliable transportation to work
  • Must be able to attain a CDL and be willing to drive and operate Concrete Mix Trucks if CDL not currently held.
  • Able to lift (up to 75lbs.) and be physically fit to perform tasks and operate equipment.
  • Work independently and diligently with minimal directions, to complete tasks on schedule.
  • Communicate well with team members and supervisor.
  • Apply creativity to solve problems and contribute to the success of the team.
