Description
This position is responsible for providing psychiatric evaluation and medications management and monitoring treatment-planning and progress.
Provide direct psychiatry services as needed.
- Conduct psychiatric evaluations and integrate information to diagnose mental health disorders in accordance with the DSM and current standards of practice
- Design individualized care plans and administer medications and psychotherapeutic treatments to treat mental, emotional, or behavioral disorders utilizing best practices and standards of care
- Monitor treatment-planning efforts and progress
- Perform required documentation of patient records in a timely and accurate manner
- Maintain assigned caseload
- As needed and upon agreement, supervise students and/or serve as collaborating practitioners (e.g. psychiatric nurse practitioners)

- Maintains client privacy and confidentiality; Does not share client information without written informed consent from the client-guardian or parent per Wisconsin state administrative code or in compliance with court order
- Adheres to all relevant ethical standards including but not limited to those of the American Medical Association and America Psychiatric Association
- Maintains appropriate state licensure
- Reports violations of ethical behavior
Other duties as assigned.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary team including external partners; Address referrals from providers
- Prepare and submit case reports or summaries to government or mental health agencies when needed or requested

Requirements
Education & Licensure:
- Successful completion of Medical Degree from an accredited training program
- Successful completion of Psychiatry Residence
- Board Certification or Board Eligible in Psychiatry
- Valid and current Wisconsin licensure
- If practicing in Lindstrom location or via telehealth then valid Minnesota licensure and/or State of Residence Licensure as necessary to Providing Telehealth
Experience:
- Minimum of two (2) years post-licensure experience
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:
- Excellent communication and listening skills
- Demonstrated ability to work independently and manage multiple demands and priorities
Physical Requirements:
- Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer
- Must be able to lift up to 15 pounds at times
