From our Command Center in Marietta, GA we outsource eyeballs and ears for commercial clients to cost-effectively drive value in security, loss prevention, risk mitigation and business intelligence. We are looking for (2) installation technicians to join our talented, passionate and dynamic installation team! These team members will be responsible for all components of installations for any new projects and sites assigned. These team members will be provided a work vehicle, competitive pay and options for our full suite of benefits.


This is a high travel position (at least 90%), focused mainly in the south east region of the US but may extend further when necessary. A company vehicle and tools will be provided.


Responsibilities

  • Install CCTV systems, access control, burglar alarm, and other related systems for clients. 
  • Install network equipment, including routers, switches, and wireless devices. 
  • Assist other technicians or affiliates (subcontractors) with installations as required. 
  • Complete all installations with accurate billing information, such as hours on site, reported issues, and description of work performed that affects the outcome, for all work assigned.
  • Collect project deliverables such as photos, as-builts, and customer signoffs. 
  • Maintain weekly timesheets indicating the work performed, including the start and finish times, the ticket or job number, as well as the customer and site location. 
  • Perform system takeovers and conversions. 
  • Perform quality audits of work performed by other technicians at the direction of management. 
  • Troubleshoot and diagnose issues on-site. 
  • Perform site surveys to assist the Installation team and Sales team. 
  • If a company vehicle is assigned, you are responsible for ensuring the completion of ongoing maintenance such as oil changes, tire rotations, etc., and maintaining a documented inventory of parts and tools on the vehicle. 
  • Standard work hours are 8:00 am-5:00 pm EST, but you may be required to work overtime as needed. 
  • Any other additional duties as assigned by management.
Requirements

  Physical Restrictions & Requirements  

  • Must be able to lift a minimum of 50 lbs. 
  • Can climb and carry ladders
  • Ability to work at 40-foot heights and on roofs
  • Ability to perform field installation duties requiring climbing ladders, lifting, and carrying heavy equipment, and working with hand tools overhead
  • Drive company vehicle and may sit in traffic for extended periods
  • Ability to use all hand tools up to 20 pounds in weight, good hand/eye coordination, ability to distinguish multi-colored cables
  • Must be able to use a calculator, telephone, typewriter/keyboard, and various office machines daily, and be able to read and write business documents
  • Communicate both in person and on the telephone, enter Information on the computer, and read various instructions
  • Must be willing and able to travel and work on the road for at least 90% of the calendar year, including extended assignments at various client locations as required


Required Qualities & Skillset

  • Successful completion of high school or GED
  • (2) years of a college-level technical course of study or military experience OR five years’ experience as an alarm or low voltage technician in an apprenticeship environment
  • Valid driver's license in the state of residence
  • Must be able to travel out of state and work overtime required by the needs of the business
  • Knowledge of the commercial security industry, including knowledge of current alarm applications, CCTV, networking, system configurations, and related systems integration
  • Knowledge of the security industry to include alarm, advanced networking, access control, video monitoring, intercom, and low voltage wiring applications
  • Ability to read blueprints and schematic drawings
