Description

Position Summary

Responsible for assisting in the supervisory duties of Slot Operations for assigned shift, will provide support for Slot supervisors and Slot Keypersons and will engage directly with customers to address all needs and complaints promptly and respectfully.


Essential Functions

  • Assists Slot supervisor in achieving professional standards of behavior, work standards, productivity, practices, and customer care are achieved
  • Assists in developing and maintaining teamwork environment.
  • Assists in training employees in designated areas as needed, especially in customer care.
  • Identifies and reports any irregular, unsafe or hazardous conditions.
  • Provides input or recommendations for improvements and changes in processes and services.
  • Provides information and assistance to customers regarding machine operations, events, services, and any other customer requests or questions. 
  • Circulates through assigned area selling change to customers, when needed, to assist in floor coverage due to Keyperson staffing shortage.
  • Maintains assigned bank to ensure accurate balances & transactions when assigned to work as a Keyperson.
  • Creates and offers Winner’s Circle cards for new enrollments and assistance with club accounts for guests at the machine leve.
  • Safeguards entrusted monies, keys, and properties. 
  • Monitors lights indicating customers’ requests for change and service and responds as quickly as possible.
  • Replenishes ticket paper.  
  • Processes jackpots when needed.
  • Maintains general appearance of work area.
  • Exhibits effective decision making and social skills.
  • Proactively engages directly with customers to address customer needs and maintain the highest customer gaming experience.
  • Assists in and resolves customer complaints as needed. 
  • Work through disputes/concerns in a timely and professional manner with an acceptable conclusion.
  • Reports all personnel or guest service issues to supervisor in accordance with Chinook Winds policies and procedures.
  • Maintains effective communication with customers and Chinook Winds Team.
  • Attend all Slot Department meetings and/or training sessions; pertinent training seminars and conferences as required.  
  • Assists in assigning duties, responsibilities, and work to other employees in accordance with work requirements in absence of or when assigned to by supervisor.
  • Participates in the development, implementation and evaluation of goals, objectives, programs, promotions, policies, and procedures.
  • Displays a friendly attitude, manner, and presence to others at all times.
  • Adheres to the confidentiality policy of Chinook Winds.
  • Has the ability to work in a fast-paced, busy, and somewhat stressful environment.
  • All other duties as assigned.

Education

High School Diploma or GED


Experience

1 year high volume customer service

1 year experience in Slots 

2 years cash handling


Computer Skills

Microsoft Office beginner level including Word, Excel, and Outlook

Siletz Tribal Gaming License

Work Environment

Work will take place in a busy gaming environment with multiple distractions. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate to loud. The environment is subject to smoke and the associated affects.  


Working Conditions

Conditions of employment include passing a pre-employment drug screen, a background investigation, and completing a 180 day introductory period.
