Position Summary

We are seeking a Site Controller to lead the financial operations at our Grand Rapids, MI. This is a hands-on role responsible for managing all site-level financial activities, including reporting, budgeting, forecasting, cost analysis, and inventory management. As a key member of the leadership team, the Site Controller will partner with operations to drive profitability and operational efficiency.


Key Responsibilities

  • Oversee all accounting operations for the site, including general ledger, cost accounting, inventory, and payroll coordination.
  • Lead month-end and year-end close processes; prepare accurate and timely financial reports.
  • Analyze financial results, track key performance indicators (KPIs), and provide actionable insights to plant leadership.
  • Manage the annual budget and quarterly forecast processes in collaboration with corporate finance.
  • Ensure compliance with internal controls, company policies, and relevant financial regulations.
  • Partner with operations, supply chain, and engineering to identify cost savings opportunities.
  • Monitor and improve standard costing systems and product margin reporting.
  • Support audits and implement process improvements across financial operations.


Requirements

 

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field (CPA or MBA a plus)
  • 5+ years of progressive accounting/finance experience, with at least 2 years in a manufacturing environment
  • Strong understanding of standard costing, inventory management, and manufacturing KPIs
  • Proficiency with ERP systems (e.g., NetSuite, SAP, Oracle) and advanced Excel skills
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills
  • Ability to work on-site and collaborate closely with cross-functional teams
