What will you do as a Accounts Receivable Clerk?


As part of the Business Support Services Team, the Accounts Receivable Clerk is responsible for providing financial, administrative and clerical services to ensure effective, efficient and accurate financial and administrative operations.


ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Accounts Receivable customer relations including answering multi-line phone to ensure excellent customer service.
  • Assist in analysis of Accounts Receivable.
  • Follow and maintain all internal control policies.
  • Entering Accounts Receivable credit card, checks, and lockbox and ACH payments.
  • Apply payments to customer accounts accurately and timely.
  • Collect on past due balances.
  • Submit pricing errors and unpaid invoices for payment to the customer when it is their error.
  • Maintain Accounts Receivable goals.
  • Perform daily and monthly tasks including statements and delinquent letters.
  • Document credit and collection activities within the CCBCHC ERP System.
  • Support and backup the Accounts Receivable Coordinators and Manager.
  • Provide reports as needed to management.
  • Provide general support for other positions in the Business Support Services Department.
  • Communicate with co-workers, management and others in a courteous and professional manner.
  • Conform with and abide by all regulations, policies, work procedures, and instructions.
  • Conform to all safety rules and use all appropriate safety equipment.

Requirements

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE

  • High School Diploma or equivalent required.
  • 1-2 years Customer Service and data-entry experience.
  • PC, Windows based database exposure.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite including Excel, Word and Outlook.
  • 10-key proficiency

PHYSICAL DEMANDS

  • Work in an office environment; sustained posture in a seated position for prolonged periods of time; may utilize a computer terminal for prolonged periods of time.
  • Work involves walking, talking and hearing, using hands to handle, feel or operate objects. Vision abilities required by this job include close vision and the ability to focus when using computer terminal.

WORK ENVIRONMENT

  • The noise level in the work environment can be moderately noisy due to manufacturing and/or warehousing equipment in operation.
  • Working hours may vary from 6 am to 5 pm depending upon schedules and the season; Monday through Friday; 40 hours per week. Additional hours may be required occasionally.
