Job Description:  

First Stop Health is seeking a skilled Mobile Engineer with expertise in React Native to join our development team. This role will focus on building and enhancing our mobile applications (iOS and Android) while also contributing to front-end web development initiatives.


The ideal candidate will be an enthusiastic, service-focused, detail-oriented, self-starter that can iterate, create and define mobile functionality and improve mobile architecture/design. We’re looking for someone that thrives in a fast-paced, collaborative environment.


Responsibilities:  

  • Design, develop, and maintain mobile applications using React Native for iOS and Android platforms. 
  • Contribute to web-based front-end projects using modern JavaScript frameworks (e.g., React). 
  • Write clean, scalable, and reusable code following best practices and industry standards. 
  • Optimize applications for performance, accessibility, and responsiveness across devices and browsers. 
  • Collaborate with other engineers, QA, designers, and product managers to implement user-friendly interfaces and seamless user experiences. 
  • Participate in code reviews and provide constructive feedback to peers. 
  • Write unit, integration, and end-to-end tests to ensure application quality. 
  • Debug and resolve technical issues across mobile and web platforms. 

Requirements:     

  • 3–5 years of professional experience in mobile app development, with at least 2 years using React Native 
  • Proficiency in React and Typescript concepts (virtual DOM, unidirectional data flow, components) 
  • Familiarity with mobile application deployment processes for App Store and Google Play. 
  • Familiarity with mobile/script unit test frameworks 
  • Understanding of CSS and UI design concepts 
  • A detail-oriented, results-driven mindset. 
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills. 
  • Passion for continuous learning and improvement. 
  • A proactive approach, with the ability to work independently and as part of a team. 
  • Ability to manage time effectively and prioritize tasks. 
  • Strong work ethic and commitment to delivering high-quality work. 
  • Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to think critically. 
  • Takes responsibility for their tasks and pride in their work.
