What We’re Looking For 

We are seeking a skilled and reliable painter to join our Facilities Maintenance team. The ideal candidate will have experience in various painting projects, strong attention to detail, and the ability to work efficiently in a customer-occupied environment. This role involves preparing surfaces, applying paint and coatings, and ensuring a flawless finish at a multitude of Cochran-owned properties.


Our business is rapidly growing, and we need quality minded candidates with a great work ethic. This is a Monday through Friday position with some overtime required for special projects and emergencies and will require the successful candidate to travel between various campuses as projects dictate. Position Responsibilities

  • Prepare surfaces for painting (e.g., surface repair and preparation to include scraping, sanding, priming, pressure washing/cleaning)
  • Apply paints and other finishes using brushes, rollers, or spray equipment
  • Maintain a clean and safe work environment, adhering to all safety protocols
  • Collaborate with team members to minimize disruption of ongoing operations
  • Handle minor repairs to surfaces as needed (e.g., patching drywall)

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or the equivalent.
  • Minimum of 5+ years of previous experience as a commercial or residential painter
  • Proficiency with painting tools and techniques (e.g., spray guns, rollers, brushes)
  • Knowledge of paint types, primers, and finishes suitable for commercial applications
  • Ability to work at heights using ladders, scaffolding, or lifts
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality
  • Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation
  • Comfortable with technology  to efficiently utilize Cochran issued iPad for internal work order system. 
  • Prior experience with Corrigo Facility Management Work Order System is a plus but not required
  • Ability to lift standard painting materials and equipment
  • Communication and teamwork skills required
  • Certification in various OSHA specific safety training
  • Familiarity with commercial blueprints and project specifications
