The Opportunity
Act as key contact and Subject Matter Expert (“SME”) for the enterprise with respect to the NetSuite ERP system. Reporting into VP-Corporate Operations the role requires one to closely work with the finance leadership team and ensure our NetSuite environment meets the business needs.
This role is preferably based out of our Alpharetta, GA office, but can be based anywhere in the United States and will require eastern time zone working hours.
What you Will Do
- Act as project manager for financial system changes, integrations, updates, and implementations
- Act as the Lead NetSuite Administrator for all transaction cycles in NetSuite
- Advise stakeholders on best practices for our NetSuite instance
- Assist in the vendor selection process for financial systems and other enterprise changes
- Facilitate creation and updates to NetSuite Standard Operating Procedures (SOP), control documentation and process documentation
- Communicate project milestones, risks, project plans and test results to executive sponsors and other governance
- Support the Finance function directly in daily operations, month-end, quarter-end and annual close periods
- Assist and provide support to Accounting and Finance teams during month end close cycles
- Lead ERP (NetSuite) Change Management Projects, which may include Gathering business requirements, establishing project plans, coordination of UAT, process documentation and user training (including development of training materials)
- Manage functional configuration and enhancements, system maintenance and business process testing for NetSuite maintenance, which may include setting up custom fields, forms, records, workflows, searches and reports, and defining user roles to support business requirements
- Own key report library and coordinate change management based upon our policies
- Own Opening or closing of Subsidiaries, maintain Legal Entity & Account Hierarchies, and manage related data migrations
- Own Tax setups and administer changes per regulatory requirements
- Partner with other departments (IT, Business Operations, etc.) to align project priorities and processes
What you Will Need to Succeed
- 8+ years in Software Tech industry with 5+ Years of experience directly administering NetSuite in a Multi-Currency, Multi-Subsidiary environment
- Must have strong understanding of Record-to-Report and Procure-to-Pay processes including subledger accounting, account reconciliation, bank reconciliation, FX revaluation and financial reporting
- Knowledge of NetSuite Tax and related system implementation is desired
- Knowledge of ASC 606 is desired
- Must have experience leading a team of techno-functional resources
- Experience with Merger & Acquisition related system integration is desired
- Bachelor’s degree in information technology, Finance or Accounting is required
- Available to work during non-regular hours to support Financial Month, Quarter, Year End close cycle
- Available to travel occasionally per business needs
- Ability to work in a rapidly changing environment
- Ability to communicate clearly and concisely
- Ability to work independently with minimal guidance
